Over 330,000 people expected to join National Day fireworks & drone show
The National Day Fireworks Display will be staged over the Victoria Harbour at 9:00 p.m. on October 1.
The police estimate that more than 330,000 people will attend the display and special traffic arrangements will be implemented on both sides of the harbour.
The police have reminded the public that they may consider viewing the fireworks at less crowded locations apart from the popular viewing spots.
This year's fireworks display will include a drone show for the first time. The 28-minute fireworks display will be enjoyed on both sides of Victoria Harbour.
Police will implement special traffic arrangements on Hong Kong Island and Kowloon.
Depending on the actual passenger flow, the police said that one-way passenger flow measures might be implemented in Tsim Sha Tsui or some entrances and exits of the MTR station might be closed that day, urging the public to remain tolerant.
The police also pointed out that in order to facilitate mainland travelers to cross the border and return to the Mainland after the fireworks show, the frequency of cross-boundary buses will be increased, and a temporary cross-boundary bus stop will be set up opposite the West Kowloon Station of the XRL to provide bus services to Huanggang Control Point from 9:00 pm that evening.
