Apple expected to unveil M4 Mac and iPad mini 7 in Oct

Apple is reportedly planning another launch event in Oct., where it will unveil its latest Mac and iPad models.

Analysts anticipate the announcement of the first Mac equipped with the M4 chip and a new entry-level iPad. Updates to the MacBook Pro, iMac, and Mac mini with the M4 series chips are expected this year, while next year's MacBook Air, Mac Studio, and Mac Pro will also feature the M4 chip.

According to media sources citing Apple insider Mark Gurman, the upcoming event will introduce new MacBook Pro in 14-inch and 16-inch models, equipped with M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max chips. The design changes are expected to be minimal. Reports of a new OLED display and a thinner design are speculated to materialize no earlier than 2026.

Gurman mentioned that a new Mac mini, featuring a design similar in size to the Apple TV, and the iPad mini 7 will also be launched. The iPad mini 7 is expected to feature faster chips and upgraded front and back cameras. Several new "lower-end iPads," including the iPad 11, are set to be released.
