HKO: Hot with sunny periods, few showers and isolated thunderstorms later
Today (Sept. 17) is the Mid-Autumn Festival. The Observatory forecasts that it is hot with sunny periods during the daytime. The maximum temperature in urban areas is around 32 degrees Celsius, which may be 1 or 2 degrees higher in the New Territories. A few showers may be later, and some areas may experience thunderstorms.
Tropical Storm Bebinca was centered about 200 kilometers west-northwest of Nanjing. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 15 kilometers per hour inland over eastern China and further weaken.
It is expected to be fine and very hot, with strong winds in Hong Kong the day after the Mid-Autumn Festival. There will be a few showers in the following couple of days.
