A three-vehicle collision occurred on the Island Eastern Corridor heading towards Causeway Bay, near the North Point Fire Station this morning (Sept. 11), involving a private car, a taxi, and a motorcycle. The drivers of the private car and the taxi, as well as a taxi passenger, sustained minor injuries.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
The Transport Department announced that due to the traffic accident, some lanes in both directions near the North Point Fire Station on the Eastern Corridor are closed. Traffic heading towards Central is backed up to the Island Eastern Corridor near Quarry Bay Park, as well as at the Kowloon entrance of the Eastern Harbour Tunnel, resulting in congestion.
