Sun Dong to attend 2024 World Robot Conference in Beijing
The Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, Professor Sun Dong, will depart for Beijing today (August 21) to call on relevant central ministries and institutions to discuss strengthening cooperation and exchange.
During his visit in Beijing, Professor Sun will also attend the 2024 World Robot Conference and take part in the dialogue session of the main forum, as well as the kick-off ceremony of the HICOOL 2024 Global Entrepreneur Summit.
The Commissioner for Industry (Innovation and Technology), Dr. Ge Ming, will join part of the visit in Beijing.
Professor Sun will return to Hong Kong in the afternoon of August 24.
During his absence, the Under Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, Ms. Lillian Cheong, will be the Acting Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry on August 21, while the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Mr. Christopher Hui, will take up the post of the Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry on August 22 and in the morning of August 23 concurrently. The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr. Algernon Yau, will concurrently take up the post of the Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry in the afternoon of August 23 and the morning of August 24.
