Ying Ying & Le Le celebrate 19th birthday with iced cake

Ying Ying and Le Le were both born in 2005 and their birthdays are August 8 and August 16 respectively. This is their 17th year in Hong Kong. As in previous years, Ocean Park held a big birthday party for them and presented them with a colorful iced cake made from their favorite ingredients, such as bamboo, sweet potatoes, carrots, pachyrhizus erosus, and apples.

On the day of the party, many visitors came to the park to send their best wishes to Ying Ying and Le Le, sending their loving messages on the giant birthday card!

Today (Aug. 15), the Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Kevin Yeung, also departed for Chengdu, Sichuan Province, to follow up on the arrangements for the arrival of the giant pandas in Hong Kong, including the transport routes, the welcoming ceremony for the pandas upon their departure from Sichuan Province, as well as the welcoming arrangements for the pandas upon their arrival in Hong Kong. According to sources, the two giant pandas are expected to arrive in Hong Kong on September 26 to celebrate National Day with the public!
