Olympic taekwondo qualifying tournament: HK's Lo Wai-fung advances to round of 16
Lo Wai-fung, a taekwondo athlete from Hong Kong, made his Olympic debut on Thursday by defeating Yahya Al Ghotany of the Refugee Olympic Team in the men's under 68kg qualification match at the Paris Olympics. This victory advanced him to the round of 16.
He won his opening round in straight sets and will face Uzbekistan's Ulugbek Rashitov next for a place in the quarterfinals. Rashitov is the top-seeded athlete in the event and is the gold medalist at the Tokyo Olympics.
