Photos | 'Process matters': Siobhan Haughey has no regrets about not being able to win gold medal in Paris Olympics
The two bronze medallist of the Paris Olympics, Siobhan Haughey and other members of Hong Kong's swimming team arrived in Hong Kong at around 6:00 am this morning (Aug. 6) on flight CX260.
When meeting the media, Haughey said that it was an honor for her to win four medals in two Olympic Games.
Haughey said that she was born and raised in Hong Kong and it was only natural for her to represent Hong Kong in the competition, which is an honor for her. "When I was the flag bearer, I was touched by the sight of Hong Kong people waving the Hong Kong flag... People are willing to watch my games in the early hours of the morning."
Asked about the comments on the Internet that she failed to win the gold despite the high expectations before the competition, Haughey responded that her goal was to perform at her best and the process was more important than the result.
"I understand that people will have expectations before the Olympics and everyone has their own opinions, but I do not pay attention to what other people say," she added.
She also said that the atmosphere at the Olympic Games was good, with her family and Hong Kong people watching the games and celebrating the event together. "I don't know if I will be able to participate in the next Olympics, so I treat this year's game as my last."
