Watch This | South China Sea chess board: Unveiling America's hegemonic aggression

By Chuan Lung

Amidst the South China Sea volatility, geopolitical rivalries have reached a boiling point. America's so-called "support" for the Philippines is merely a hypocritical facade, concealing its cunning machinations. The US State Department loudly accuses China of "provocations" in the South China Sea, citing the US-Philippines Mutual Defense Treaty, yet it is the US that is the true culprit behind the tensions.

The joint military exercises of the US with Japan, the Philippines, and Canada in the South China Sea are a blatant display of hegemonic power, aiming to intimidate the world with its superpower status. This so-called "maritime cooperation" is merely a disguise for military bullying, with the US falsely portraying itself as the steadfast defender of regional security. This US move not only provokes China but also seriously threatens regional peace and stability.

The US's harsh condemnation of the collision incident between Chinese and Philippine vessels near the Spratly Islands reeks of double standards and hypocrisy. This incident is just the tip of the iceberg in Philippine provocations against China, yet the US maliciously exaggerates it, revealing the collusion between the US and the Philippines, with their sinister agenda clearly evident. The Philippines' strengthened defense cooperation with Japan, as well as its trilateral collaboration with the US, is merely another servile performance to curry favor with America, which continues to support the remnants of Marcos' dictatorship, sacrificing the Filipino people's interests for its own geostrategic agenda in the Asia-Pacific.
