From Jan. 20 to 23, 2027, Gareth.T will take the stage at the Hong Kong Coliseum for the first time, performing four consecutive shows of "Gareth.T Coliseum Live". Fans holding Hang Seng credit cards can purchase priority tickets via Cityline starting at noon today (Nov. 3), with tickets priced at HK$1,380, HK$980, and HK$680.
Gareth.T is stepping onto the Hong Kong Coliseum stage for the first time, and he is going big right out of the gate. The concert is titled "Gareth.T Coliseum Live"— a play on the venue's English name that also carries a double meaning, hinting that he will transform the Hong Kong Coliseum into an arena full of dramatic tension. To shoot his first-ever Hong Kong Coliseum concert poster, Gareth.T spent two and a half hours in special-effects makeup, turning himself into a Roman stone statue, with even his skin taking on a sculpted texture. He joked that it was not too tough and was worth it for art.
Discovering the Coliseum inspiration while booking a ride to the venue
It turns out the name "Coliseum" had quietly taken root in Gareth.T's mind long before he had the chance to perform there. He revealed that every time he used to book a ride to the Hong Kong Coliseum to watch a concert, he would type the venue's English name, Hong Kong Coliseum, as the destination. Later, he looked it up in a dictionary and discovered that Coliseum also means a Roman arena, which he found very interesting. When he learned he would finally have the chance to take the Hong Kong Coliseum stage, he immediately thought of the name and decided to make the arena concept the core of the entire concert. As for what the show will involve, Gareth admitted that he has been holding non-stop meetings and will reveal more to fans later.
Poster shoot goes beyond standing still – fitness coach designs challenging poses
For this concert poster, Gareth.T once again worked with his good friend Hanley Chu as creative director and photographer, with the East Wind Fortune team forming the creative crew behind the shoot. On the day of the shoot, Gareth.T spent two and a half hours in special-effects makeup, transforming himself into a Roman stone statue, with even his skin taking on a sculpted texture. Asked whether it was tough, he joked that it was not too tough and was worth it for art. His fitness coach was also on set, leading him through a workout before the shoot to make his physique look more perfect on camera. During the shoot, everyone got more and more playful. The initial idea was simply to have him stand like a statue, but everyone agreed to make it more fun. In the end, Gareth.T not only posed as a superhero but also struck comedic poses and bodybuilder-style poses, with increasingly challenging moves that gave the Roman statue look even more dramatic flair.
To go bigger this time, the shoot was extremely demanding on Gareth.T's fitness and physique. Everyone on set praised how fit Gareth had become, though the ever-self-critical singer joked that his fitness results were not yet obvious but that he would keep working hard. He used to just exercise on his own without proper training, but now with a coach, he hopes his physique will keep improving and his movements will become more standard.
Four consecutive nights, a test of stamina – No additional shows announced
Gareth.T's first Hong Kong Coliseum concert will be held from Jan. 20 to 23, 2027, running four consecutive nights as he officially takes on his own arena challenge. He admitted that performing even one night is already quite draining, and four consecutive nights will require double the effort. As for whether more shows will be added — the question fans care about most — Gareth.T made it clear that the company has decided to announce four shows at once, with no plans to add more for now. He told fans directly that there will be no additional shows, so if they want to go, they should buy tickets.
