U.S. President Donald Trump has drawn renewed public attention over his health after appearing in public with a large bruise on the left side of his face, according to a report carried by Hong Kong media citing The Daily Beast.
The report said the discoloration was visible in multiple photographs taken on Oct. 23, including images of Trump speaking to reporters outside the White House and later arriving in Florida for a midterm-election campaign event. Online discussion quickly escalated after observers noted that photos from the previous day did not show a mark in the same area. The bruise was described as extending toward his left temple, making it particularly noticeable.
Some social media users questioned whether the president—described in the report as the oldest U.S. president to take office—may have suffered an accident such as a fall. A White House spokesperson, identified as Davis Ingle, rejected such speculation and reiterated that Trump remains energetic, works intensely, and is in excellent health.
Trump has previously attributed bruising on his hands to factors such as taking aspirin and frequently shaking hands with members of the public, the report said. However, the appearance of an unexplained bruise on his face has led some to question that explanation.
Shortly after the bruise drew attention, Trump posted on his social media platform Truth Social: "A healthy person has a thousand dreams. A sick person has only one: (to get better)! President DONALD J. TRUMP." The post, made without additional context, fueled further speculation online.
In recent years, Trump has repeatedly been photographed with signs such as hand bruising, neck redness, and persistent ankle swelling, while some observers have also raised concerns about his public appearances, including moments of apparent fatigue.
