This year marks the seventh year that the "Venerable Chi Chern Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition," organized by the Jao Tsung-I Academy, has been held in Hong Kong. This year's theme is "Every Day Is a Good Day." During the exhibition, we conducted an exclusive interview with Ven. Chi Chern, Honorary Principal of the Malaysian Buddhist Institute and Abbot of Puzhao Temple.
Ven. Chi Chern began by discussing Hong Kong as a meeting point of Chinese and Western cultures, saying that Hong Kong is both a window to the world and a space for the development of Chinese culture. He praised the dedicated work of those in both traditional and modern art in Hong Kong, which makes the city a meeting point where creative sparks fly. He also introduced the exhibition's theme, "Every Day Is a Good Day," expressing the hope that everyone would do what they should do each day with an ordinary mind, so that every day would be a truly good day.
