EVA Air to offer free in-town check-in at HK Station from Oct. 20

MTR Corporation announced on Sunday (Oct. 18) that EVA Air will begin offering free in-town check-in services at Hong Kong Station on Tuesday (Oct. 20), bringing the total number of airlines providing the service to seven. (Reuters)

MTR Corporation announced on Sunday (Oct. 18) that EVA Air will begin offering free in-town check-in services at Hong Kong Station on Tuesday (Oct. 20), bringing the total number of airlines providing the service to seven.

Passengers travelling with EVA Air can use the station's smart check-in kiosks and self-service baggage drop counters from 8 am to 2 pm daily to complete their check-in procedures and drop off their luggage in one stop before taking the Airport Express to the airport.

According to MTR, passengers holding valid electronic travel documents can check in and drop off their baggage in town from 24 hours before their scheduled flight departure, up to at least 90 minutes before departure, within the service hours.

With EVA Air joining the service, seven airlines now offer one-stop in-town check-in for Airport Express passengers: Cathay Pacific, China Airlines, EVA Air, Hong Kong Airlines, Mandarin Airlines, Qantas and Singapore Airlines.
