Today (Oct. 1) marks the first day of the National Day holiday, drawing a large number of tourists to Hong Kong. Around 2 p.m. today, DotDotNews reporters observed in Tsim Sha Tsui that major shopping malls, including Harbour City, as well as surrounding streets, were crowded with visitors, with long queues forming outside luxury shops.
According to statistics from the Immigration Department, as of 10 a.m. this morning, 112,153 passenger arrivals were recorded, with mainland visitors accounting for 74,515. Additionally, there were 90,225 passenger departures, with HK residents making up approximately 69,000.
