In the virtual world of the internet, Lee is a creator with a keen aesthetic sense and warm empathy. Away from the camera, she holds multiple identities: an entrepreneur, a designer, and now someone wholly dedicated to "public-interest art IP," advocating for the autistic community. Lee's journey, from an ordinary 27-year-old girl who wanted to share her unfiltered life, to a blogger who now confidently engages with her audience on beauty and anxiety, serves as a guide on how to confront oneself honestly.
In Lee's view, the internet's purest essence lies in an individual sharing their life. She believes that while sharing one's passions requires no special skill, reaching the top tier demands a keen eye for trends, coupled with strong self-discipline and moral integrity. She never sees her followers as mere statistics; she treats them as friends and shares her thoughts on the past, present, and future. She hopes viewers at different life stages can find resonance and forward momentum in her content.
Beauty should not be defined
"Don't define what beauty is," Lee said candidly. She has witnessed countless girls compare their single eyelids and flatter noses to the perfectly sculpted faces on screen, leading to anxiety. "I believe single eyelids are beautiful, double eyelids are beautiful; a high nose bridge is beautiful, and a small nose bridge like mine is equally beautiful." She paused. "Ultimately, health is what matters. You're watching a video, not looking into a mirror; don't compare your own features to what you see reflected there."
This composure, she admits, is not innate. She candidly shares that the first step in confronting appearance anxiety might be "acknowledging its influence on you." "When you take that step, you'll find a significant sense of relief." Accepting and acknowledging the impact of mainstream beauty standards doesn't equate to self-negation; rather, it allows for a more nuanced perspective – prompting one to ask, "Why do I perceive this as beautiful?"
30, a moment to ask "Where do I want to go?"
From 20 to 30, Lee, like most individuals, underwent a "significant transition from student to working professional." During this period, she summarizes her greatest transformation as "forming a more complete self."
Lee confesses that age itself has never panicked her. Instead, her true anxiety arose from a crucial question: "Will the effort invested in the next step yield proportional returns? Can I afford to take that gamble?" While youth offers the leeway to take risks, as connections, savings, and family responsibilities accumulate, every decision carries uncertainty. She clarifies that, strictly speaking, age itself isn't the cause of anxiety; rather, the anxiety stems from "what you aspire to do and the degree of apprehension you feel about the next step you wish to take."
However, for Lee, transcending this threshold felt more like a profound journey of self-integration. Once she truly understood the core of her apprehension, an unprecedented sense of liberation arose. Thirty became less a deadline for advancement and more a cornerstone built upon accumulated experience and wisdom. She learned to trust her own rhythm, no longer measuring her worth against external benchmarks.
This transformation brought a more resolute composure and a clearer self-awareness. "You're no longer in a hurry to prove anything to the world," she shared, "but instead, you focus more on inner exploration, becoming an authentic sharer who feels comfortable and proud of yourself." This mental maturity imbued her content with greater depth, enabling her to share her reflections on the past, present, and future more openly, as she believes genuine resonance holds far greater power than chasing fleeting trends.
From "beauty" in the lens to "light" in the exhibition hall
Today, she is wholeheartedly dedicated to public-interest art IP. In her studio, vibrant butterfly installations and artworks created by autistic individuals have become her proudest "creations." These are not merely artistic expressions; they are a bridge she has built for communities that need a voice.
From her initial casual sharing of daily life to her current deep commitment to public welfare and promoting art IP, Lee's journey stands as a living testament to "authenticity" and "resonance." Through her candid sharing, she builds bridges between hearts, demonstrating that beyond the screen, warmth and understanding still exist. She neither defines success nor imposes limits on herself; instead, in every interaction, she ignites a spark in searching souls, helping more people believe that even amid anxiety, they can embrace their true selves, navigate the world with grace, and collectively author their unique life stories.
