The public memorial and funeral service for Tung Chee-hwa, former Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the first and second Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, was held at 9 am today (Sep. 20) at the Hong Kong Funeral Home in North Point. The cortege departed at 11 am, followed by the funeral procession.
The coffin was draped in the national flag. At around 10 am, under police escort, it was transferred by hearse to Cape Collinson Crematorium.
