The border region between Nepal and China's Xizang was hit by a severe mudslide disaster on Aug. 26, with the Gyirong Port on China's Xizang side reduced to rubble.
According to Xinhua News Agency, the Emergency Rescue Command for the "8·26" Mudslide Disaster in Gyirong County, China's Xizang Autonomous Region, reported that as of 6 p.m. on Sept. 5, the disaster had claimed 43 lives and left 519 people missing on the Chinese side.
