Hong Kong martial arts star Chen Kuan-tai, one of Shaw Brothers's leading kung fu actors, died on Wednesday (Sept. 2), reportedly at the age of 80 after suffering a brain hemorrhage.
Chen rose to fame in 1972 after starring in "The Boxer from Shantung (Ma Yongzhen)", establishing himself with his authentic martial arts skills and helping pioneer the gangster martial arts genre.
