The Mid-Autumn Festival is approaching, with the Hong Kong Tourism Board set to stage the "International Lantern Spectacular" at Victoria Park for 10 consecutive days from Sept. 17 to 27.
The festival will bring together distinctive lantern displays from 20 countries and regions, the Nanjing Qinhuai lanterns, a national-level intangible cultural heritage with a history spanning more than 1,000 years, as well as traditional handmade lanterns from HK.
The "International Lantern Spectacular" will be open to the public from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. daily from Sept. 17 to 27, 2026. The lanterns will be illuminated from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., with the opening hours extended to midnight on Sept. 25.
