John Kasarda, chief advisor to Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone, says the 22-sq-km complex, anchored by BYD and joined by Foxconn's NEV operations, will form a fully integrated production system.
He expects batteries and electronics to be locally sourced, positioning the zone as a global center for the NEV supply chain, with an economic engine unmatched by any other aerotropolis.
