A fire broke out at a warehouse in Luk Mei Tsuen, Mai Po, in the early hours of today (July 31) at around 3 am. The Fire Services Department upgraded the blaze to a third-alarm at nearly 5 am. The fire was contained at around 8:30 am. and brought under control at around 9 am. Firefighters deployed three jets and three breathing apparatus teams. No injuries have been reported so far.
The Fire Services Department advised that if members of the public are affected by drifting smoke and odours, they should close their windows and doors and remain calm.
