Starting July 9, dogs are officially allowed into licensed restaurants across Hong Kong! A DotDotNews reporter took her best furry friend, Uno, to check out one of these newly approved spots and see what the experience is actually like.

Right now, amenities and layouts vary quite a bit from restaurant to restaurant. The place we reviewed set up designated seating areas to keep regular diners and pet parents separate so everyone can eat in peace. They also provide complimentary pee pads so the dog can sit comfortably right next to you!

But enjoying this new perk comes with a catch. As responsible owners, how do we protect this hard-earned privilege? From the 1.5-meter leash rule and strict "no touching tables or sharing reusable tableware" manners, to handling unexpected "accidents"—dining out with your dog is more than just a treat; it's a real-life test of our etiquette as owners.

Follow our camera and let's find out what the dog-friendly dining experience is really all about!
