In a special behind-the-scenes clip from Geneva, Dr. Henry Ho — founder and chairman of the OCTS Youth Forum and a member of the Chief Executive's Policy Unit Expert Group — takes us inside the United Nations Human Rights Council, where he addressed the 62nd session on the Hong Kong issue. Speaking at the 17th meeting, Ho urged the international community to support Hong Kong's judiciary and reject what he called the "bullying and illegal sanctions" of the United States.
He emphasised that Hong Kong judges will continue to administer justice "without fear or favour". Ho also highlighted key milestones in Hong Kong's legal framework — including the implementation of the National Security Law in 2020 and the Safeguarding National Security Ordinance in 2024 — noting that these laws do not diminish human rights but reinforce core common law principles such as the presumption of innocence and the right to a fair trial.
He further pointed to Hong Kong's first five-year plan consultation, with the Northern Metropolis as its centrepiece, designed to safeguard the right to development and create new pathways for youth upward mobility. This exclusive clip offers a first-hand look at Hong Kong's voice being heard on the global stage.
