A PLA Navy flotilla comprising the guided-missile destroyer Nanning and the guided-missile frigate Hengyang arrived in Hong Kong on July 2. On Sunday (July 5), the vessels continued to open for pre-booked members of the public, alongside a series of cultural exchange activities.
A DotDotNews reporter arrived at the garrison in the morning and observed a steady flow of visitors coming to tour the ships. Some residents stopped to take photos as soon as the vessels came into view, with many posing for pictures before boarding.
During the boarding process, service members reminded visitors to watch their step. Visitors were divided into groups and escorted onboard, where officers introduced key areas of the ships and provided explanations. Throughout the tour, several military enthusiasts asked questions.
During the PLA Navy flotilla's public open day in Hong Kong, we interviewed Ketsarinh Lan, a Thai national and President of Golden Sun Film Company, along with young visitor Sophie.
