On July 4, Hong Kong time, in the WTT US Smash mixed doubles final, the Chinese pair Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha, known as the "Sha-Tou" duo, lost 2-3 to the South Korean pair Lim Jong-hoon and Shin Yu-bin, finishing as runners-up in the mixed doubles event. Lim Jong-hoon and Shin Yu-bin claimed the mixed doubles title.
