According to CCTV News, reporters learned from multiple airlines including Air China, China Eastern Airlines, and China Southern Airlines that fuel surcharges for domestic flight tickets sold from July 5, 2026 (inclusive) will be reduced. The adjusted rates are as follows:
- Routes of 800 km (inclusive) or less: fuel surcharge of RMB 50 per sector
- Routes over 800 km: fuel surcharge of RMB 100 per sector
- Infant passengers: exempt from fuel surcharge
- Children, disabled revolutionary servicemen, and disabled police officers injured in the line of duty: 50% of the standard rate
Domestic tickets sold before July 5, 2026 (exclusive) that are changed on or after July 5, 2026 (inclusive) will not be eligible for a refund of the fuel surcharge already collected.
