A People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy task group departed from a naval port in Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province, on Wednesday morning (July 1) for Hong Kong, where it will participate in a series of public open days and cultural exchange activities from July 2 to 6.
According to the PLA Daily (Jiefangjun Bao), the task group consists of the guided-missile destroyer CNS Nanning and the guided-missile frigate CNS Hengyang.
The naval vessels cast off from the military port in Zhanjiang on the morning of July 1 and are scheduled to arrive in HK for the five-day programme of public visits and cultural exchanges.
