To celebrate the 29th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland, the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Hong Kong Garrison is opening three military barracks to the public over two consecutive weekends.
Shek Kong Barracks opened its doors on Saturday (June 27) and will continue its open house on Sunday.
The first day of the event attracted large crowds of visitors, who enjoyed military demonstrations and had the opportunity to view a variety of military equipment up close.
During the flag-raising ceremony, members of the public waved the national flag and the HKSAR regional flag. Many visitors attended the event with their children.
