On June 22 Beijing time, in the second round of Group H at the 2026 World Cup in the US, Canada, and Mexico, Spain defeated Saudi Arabia 4-0, securing their first win of the tournament.

Soon after, Oyarzabal scored two goals in three minutes, extending Spain's lead to 3-0 by the 24th minute.
Early in the second half, Saudi Arabia's Hassan Al-Tambakti gifted Spain an own goal, making it 4-0, a scoreline that held until the final whistle.
With the result, Spain now sit at the top of Group H with four points, while Saudi Arabia remain on just one point after two matches.
