On June 17, the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office held its regular press conference. A reporter asked, "Recently, actor Zhang Linghe attended the 18th Straits Forum and delivered a speech about his cross-strait youth journey, which, to some extent, responded to the expectations of young people in Taiwan who had hoped he would visit and exchange with them. This has drawn attention on the island. What is your comment?"
Spokesperson Chen Binhua responded: The cross-strait youth story shared by Zhang Linghe at the 18th Straits Forum resonated with the expectations of young people in Taiwan for closer exchanges and dialogue. It demonstrated the sincere sentiments of mainland youth who care about cross-strait development and are willing to contribute to cross-strait exchanges, drawing attention and praise from public opinion on both sides.
Chen Binhua stated, "We have always supported 'two-way exchanges' between young people across the strait. We are pleased to see well-known mainland actors, singers, and other cultural and artistic workers visit Taiwan to meet and exchange with residents and young people.
