David Huang, a veteran musician born in Hong Kong, has passed away in the United States at the age of 61. His family announced the news today (June 14), stating that Huang died at his sister's home in Honolulu, US, on June 2 local time.
Born in Hong Kong in 1964, Huang immigrated to the US as a child. In 1990, he released his first Mandarin album, which was well received. In 1994, he released "Intoxicated," a song that cemented his legendary status in the music industry and became a classic in the Mandarin pop canon. The song has been covered by renowned singers such as A-Mei, Huang Xiaohu, Aska Yang, and Jam Hsiao.
