According to Xinhua News Agency, citing US media reports on June 13, a US military fighter jet crashed on a mountain in Washington State that same day, sparking a forest fire. The pilot ejected and survived. The report stated that the F/A-18 "Super Hornet" fighter jet, which belongs to the US Marine Corps, was conducting "routine training" prior to the crash.
Footage of the crash moment, captured by a bystander, has been circulating on social media. In the video, the filmer repeatedly confirms with their companion, "Did he crash? I saw a parachute."
