After years of redevelopment and construction, the new Huanggang Port is finally about to open. The old port has been completely demolished, rebuilt, and upgraded. The main building is now completed, and various customs clearance equipment is being tested. The port is expected to open in July this year officially. CCTV News also reported that the opening of the new Huanggang Port is imminent, and clearance times will be significantly shortened.

This upgrade is far more than just a "renovation" – the new port is completely different from the old one! The new Huanggang Port will be positioned as a pure passenger port and will retain 24-hour overnight clearance. Whether you're leaving a late-night concert or catching a red-eye flight in the early morning, you can travel with peace of mind – the port never closes.

The new Huanggang Port will feature 134 self-service channels and 68 manual counters, allowing for fast clearance by scanning ID cards or using facial recognition. The biggest highlight is the introduction of a brand-new "collaborative inspection and joint clearance" model. With no need to queue up twice for repeated checks on both sides, the clearance time between Hong Kong and Shenzhen will be shortened from 30 minutes to just 5 minutes!

The joint inspection building has a total floor area of 689,700 square meters and is designed to handle an average daily passenger flow of 300,000 people. The new port not only handles large crowds with ease but also offers convenient transportation. Shenzhen Metro Line 7 connects directly to the port's joint inspection hall, and after a short transfer, passengers can connect to the MTR, making travel between the two cities seamless. The port will also connect to the currently under-construction Guangzhou–Shenzhen intercity railway (Qianhai–Huanggang section), the Shenzhen-Guangzhou Central Axis Intercity Railway, and Shenzhen Metro Line 20. In the future, travel to the airport, Qianhai, Dongguan, or Guangzhou will be even more convenient.
