Law Yim-hing, the 97-year-old actress, arrived at the ceremony in a wheelchair yesterday (June 2). Despite having needed a wheelchair since a fall some time ago, she remained in excellent spirits, speaking with a strong, resonant voice. She jokingly mentioned that she now feels like going to sleep as early as 6 or 7 in the evening, and spends her days having tea and chatting with friends, as well as playing mahjong, adding that she often loses money when she plays. At present, her grandnephew is her primary caregiver, and in her free time, she also visits her old friend, Bowie Woo. Yuen Biao, Lau Kar-wing and director Jack Ng Wai-lun were also in attendance.

Due to a fall, Law Yim-hing had to sit on a chair during the interview.  (DDN)

When giving an interview to the media, Yuen Biao and Lau Kar-wing said that they rarely have the chance to appear on the same stage together like this. Yuen Biao joked, "I think this might be the first time!" Inside the exhibition, the two saw a photo from their first film collaboration, and the memories came flooding back. Lau Kar-wing even revealed that he had once served as Yuen Biao's stunt double. When asked about the most thrilling action scene since entering the industry, Yuen Biao said bluntly that it was when he and Jackie Chan took turns jumping from the third or fourth floor to the ground. Even now, looking back, he still finds it terrifying.

When talking about the artists he has worked with recently, Yuen Biao singled out Terrance Lau for praise, saying, "He is very active. I think he has great potential. Among Hong Kong artists in recent years, he is relatively enterprising — he can do action scenes, and he can act. Artists should be a bit more well-rounded. They don't need to be as extreme as we were, but they should be able to fight, look handsome, perform well, and act well."

Regarding his senior fellow apprentice Jackie Chan's earlier revelation that he wants to remake the Lucky Stars series, Yuen Biao strongly supports it. Although some members of the cast have passed away, he believes Jackie Chan can handle it well: "I'm afraid he won't ask me to join! I will definitely take part." Talking about Yuen Wah's recent comment that Jackie Chan is stingy, giving his junior apprentices food that is about to expire, Yuen Biao laughed and said: "That was back in our childhood days. He probably isn't too stingy anymore. What everyone talks about is from when we were kids. We didn't experience that, and he's never been stingy with me either." As for Yuen Wah praising Sammo Hung as the best, Yuen Biao also agreed: "Sammo Hung is more generous! He's the big brother; he acts more magnanimously."
