Storm Jangmi is approaching Okinawa, Japan. HK Express has announced the cancellation of 4 flights between Hong Kong and Okinawa on Monday, including UO844, UO845, UO824 and UO825; another 2 flights will be cancelled on Tuesday, including UO842 and UO843. At 8 am today (May 31), Typhoon Jangmi was centred approximately 600 kilometres south of Okinawa Island. It is forecast to move north-northwest at about 14 kilometres per hour, heading towards the Ryukyu Islands region. HK Express stated that due to unstable weather conditions, passengers travelling between Hong Kong and Okinawa from June 1 to 3 are advised to regularly check their emails and check their flight status before heading to the airport. The airline sincerely apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks passengers for their patience and understanding.
