Teochew chive kueh is a traditional Chaozhou (Teochew) snack from Guangdong, China. Its name literally means "rice-free dumpling" because the wrapper is made from sweet potato starch (tapioca starch) instead of rice flour, which gives the dumpling a translucent, chewy, and slightly springy texture.
