According to a report from CCTV News, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić is conducting a state visit to China from May 24 to 28. At noon today (May 24), President Vučić arrived by plane at Beijing Capital International Airport. This marks President Vučić's first state visit to China.
Serbia is the first European country to jointly build a community with a shared future for mankind in the new era with China, and is an important partner of China in Southeast Europe. Under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, China-Serbia relations have been operating at a high level in recent years. Both sides firmly support each other's core interests and major concerns, enjoy solid political mutual trust, achieve fruitful cooperation results, maintain close multilateral coordination, and have frequent people-to-people exchanges.
During the visit, President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang will meet separately with President Vučić to exchange views on bilateral relations and international and regional issues of common concern.
A spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry stated earlier that China is willing to work with Serbia to take President Vučić's visit as an opportunity to strengthen the ironclad friendship, expand mutually beneficial cooperation, enrich cultural and people-to-people exchanges, intensify multilateral coordination, and achieve more tangible results in building the China-Serbia community with a shared future in the new era, for the benefit of the peoples of both countries.
