Lai Ka-ying, the first astronaut from China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, was selected as a payload specialist for the Shenzhou-23 spaceflight mission, the China Manned Space Agency said on Saturday (May 23).
In DDN's exclusive interview, Lai said, "What I look forward to most is to be able to see the beautiful Earth from space." She also expressed great anticipation for experiencing the feeling of floating inside the space station (China's space station), and hopes that after returning, she can share this wonderful journey and experience with the children of Hong Kong and her own children.
