Wong Ka-kui, the legendary Hong Kong musician and soul of iconic rock band Beyond, will be commemorated in a new documentary marking the 33rd anniversary of his death.
The first-ever documentary about Wong, titled "Because of You Ka Kui", is scheduled to premiere in HK on June 11.
The film offers fans an in-depth look back at Wong's legendary musical journey — from his early struggles to the peak of his career — while also revealing a lesser-known side of the musician beyond the stage.
According to the production team, the documentary took more than two decades to develop and complete, with filming conducted across HK, Beijing, Taipei, Tokyo, Toronto and London.
The documentary features more than 30 minutes of concert footage and includes previously unreleased music, rare archival footage and untold stories related to Wong Ka-kui.
