A tiger-head bag carried by Elon Musk's six-year-old son X Æ A-Xii, nicknamed "Lil X," has gone viral online after the child appeared in a Chinese-style outfit in a widely shared video on May 14.
In the video, Lil X was seen wearing a vintage-style Chinese vest and a tiger-head hat while carrying an intricately designed tiger-head bag. His playful look, filled with traditional Chinese elements, quickly captured the attention of social media users.
According to Xinhua News Agency, the video showing Musk's son dressed in a modern Chinese-style top and carrying a bag featuring Chinese intangible cultural heritage-inspired elements became a major online talking point. The product was designed by a cultural creative team based in Guilin, Guangxi.
The brand's manager said the team hoped people could experience the unique charm of traditional Chinese culture through the products.
The brand also revealed that sales of the tiger-head bag surged sharply from the afternoon of May 14 and that the product was close to selling out.
According to the brand, the design was inspired by a traditional tiger-head doll, an element associated with China's intangible cultural heritage. The designer developed the product after conducting field research in Gansu Province, while the final embroidery work was completed by artisans from Guangxi.
