Cathay Pacific Airways has outlined a set of board changes scheduled to come into effect after its annual general meeting on 13 May 2026. These include Patrick Healy stepping down as Chair and Executive Director after his retirement from the Swire group, as well as the resignations of Non-Executive Directors Sun Yuquan and Wang Mingyuan. The three directors confirmed they had no disagreements with the board, and the company expressed public thanks for their contributions.
Non-Executive Director Guy Bradley—who currently chairs several major Swire companies—will be appointed as an Executive Director and will take over as Chair of Cathay Pacific's board. The airline is also appointing two additional Non-Executive Directors, Martin Murray and Qu Guangji, both experienced Swire executives. Together, these changes are intended to strengthen the board with expertise in areas such as the group's operations, finance, and sustainability, while still providing continuity in strategic oversight for shareholders and other stakeholders.
