The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) today (May 7) urged the public to stop using a "ZWILLING" brand electric kettle, model number 53005, and to contact the supplier, Cheong Hing (1917) Limited, to arrange for a recall and refund.
According to information provided by the supplier, in a few cases, the handle of this electric kettle may become loose or broken. If hot water spills uncontrollably as a result, it may lead to accidents or personal injury, such as scalding. Therefore, the department has decided to recall the product and issue a refund.
