A netizen posted on social media saying that they spotted a robust-looking wild monkey outside their apartment window. The monkey was gripping the window grilles, seemingly greeting them through the glass—a very amusing scene. After seeing the post, many neighbors repeatedly urged the poster not to feed the monkey, otherwise, there would be endless trouble.
A resident living on the 8th floor of a block in Hin Keng Estate posted in the Facebook group saying, "Dear Hin Keng neighbors, remember to close your doors and windows. Today, the Great Sage (referring to the Sun Wukong) paid a grand visit to my home. He gave me a scare, but in the end, he climbed down the water pipe and safely returned to the ground." In the photos, the monkey appears robust, staring at the camera with wide eyes. The poster said he was worried that the monkey might enter the house. "The window frame is too wide—it could actually come in. I need to add a mesh." "I didn't intend to harm it; I was just afraid it would come inside." "I should be the one thanking it for being merciful and not entering the house." Fortunately, after the monkey finished its "visit," it left on its own.
Many netizens urged the poster not to feed the monkey. "Whatever you do, don't feed it. If it recognizes your unit, it will come up every day looking for food." "No intervention, no harm, no feeding. Let wild animals follow nature—born wild, raised wild—that's the best approach." "Don't use food to attract it, or you'll regret it. Be careful, OP." "Please don't feed it, or it will bring its whole family—kids, grandpas, and grandmas—over." "Don't feed it. If it brings a whole troop, not only will you be troubled, but your neighbors will also have plenty to complain about."
