The 58th ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships got underway on April 28 in London, with Hong Kong's men's and women's teams beginning their campaigns in the group stage.
HK's men's team will play their opening match on April 29 against South Africa, led by top player Wong Chun-ting. Meanwhile, the women's team, captained by Doo Hoi-kem, is set to face Mexico at 5:00 p.m. (HK time) on the same day.
The tournament runs from April 28 to May 10 in London. In their opening match on April 28, the women's team defeated the Netherlands 3-1 to secure an early victory.

Men's team: Wong Chun-ting, Chan Ho-wah, Lam Siu-hang, Yiu Kwan-to, Kwan Man-ho
Women's team: Doo Hoi-kem, Ng Wing-lam, Su Tsz-tung, Kong Tsz-lam, Lee Hoi-man
In the group stage, the HK men's team will face Nigeria, South Africa, and Saudi Arabia, while the women's team will compete against Mexico, the Netherlands, and Macao.
