Andy Lau and Keung To cross generations in a rare on-screen appearance to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Hong Kong Ronald McDonald House Charities. The two also filmed the classic reimagined music video for the charity song Angels Without Wings together, sparking intense discussion online as soon as the news broke, with many netizens commenting, "A duet of the century."
The Angel Without Wings was written and performed by Andy Lau himself, first released in 2007. Over the years, the song has accompanied countless people through life's ups and downs, and has long become a healing anthem cherished by a whole generation. Nearly 20 years later, with Jackson Wai joining in, the song returns in a brand-new form, injecting fresh life into a classic.
Sharing his thoughts on the shoot, Lau said, "I'm so happy to sing The Angel Without Wings again, and because this song has been meaningful to so many people for years." For this new music video, he also incorporated Happy Birthday lyrics, sending 30th-anniversary wishes to the Hong Kong Ronald McDonald House. He hopes everyone will continue to stand by the sick children and their families, and walk together through every high and low moment.
Keung, who has served as the charity ambassador for four consecutive years, said candidly that this collaboration feels "like he's living a dream." He added, "I'm very grateful to McDonald's for allowing me to film together with Andy Lau, and I'm also honored to be able to reenact a classic role played by a predecessor. I hope that through music and visuals, while bringing everyone surprises, we can continue to spread love and positive energy."
