Spring migration has reached its peak at Hengshui Lake in north China's Hebei Province, where tens of thousands of migratory birds are stopping to rest, refuel, and breed.
As a national nature reserve preserving a complete wetland ecosystem on the North China Plain, and a key stop along the East Asia-Australasia Flyway, the lake has recorded 337 bird species, with peak populations exceeding 100,000.
