Two traffic accidents occurred within just eight minutes on Lung Cheung Road in Cheung Sha Wan on Saturday (April 4), involving three vehicles and leaving one person injured.
The first accident took place at around 1:05 p.m. A light goods vehicle reportedly lost control on the rain-slicked road, crashed into a curb, and overturned to the right. The vehicle spun in the middle of the road before coming to a stop with its front facing against the direction of traffic, blocking the lane. The driver was injured and later called police for assistance.
Approximately eight minutes later, at around 1:13 p.m., two taxis traveling through the same location were suspected to have collided while attempting to avoid the overturned vehicle. No injuries were reported in the second incident.
According to the Transport Department, some lanes on Lung Cheung Road (towards Kwun Tong) near So Uk Estate have been closed due to the accidents. Motorists can only use the remaining open lanes, and traffic at the scene is currently congested.
