The closely contested match extended to the full seven games, showcasing intense rallies and momentum shifts throughout. Sun claimed the opening two games 13–11 and 11–8, before Goda responded strongly to take the third game 16–14. Goda maintained her momentum, winning the fourth and fifth games 11–5 and 12–10 to move ahead.
Sun demonstrated resilience and composure, dominating the sixth game 11–3. In the final game, she held her nerve to clinch a narrow 13–11 win, sealing her place in the last four.
