The Hong Kong Observatory issued a special weather alert today (March 27), warning that a thunderstorm area currently located west of the Pearl River Estuary is moving closer and is expected to affect HK in the next one to two hours. (DDN)

The Hong Kong Observatory issued a special weather alert today (March 27), warning that a thunderstorm area currently located west of the Pearl River Estuary is moving closer and is expected to affect HK in the next one to two hours.

Residents are advised to stay alert to changing weather conditions.

The Observatory also forecast that this afternoon and tonight will remain mostly cloudy with occasional showers, and some areas may experience isolated thunderstorms initially. Light to moderate easterly to southeasterly winds are expected.

Looking ahead, the weekend will see occasional showers, with humid conditions persisting tomorrow morning.

Partial sunshine is forecast for Monday, while the weather is expected to become increasingly unstable on Tuesday and Wednesday.
