A missile recently struck near a dormitory housing Chinese workers in the Lod region of Israel, with shrapnel penetrating walls and damaging electrical appliances inside. Fortunately, most workers were away at their jobs at the time, and no casualties were reported. The Lod area is in close proximity to Ben Gurion Airport, placing it at extremely high risk of missile, rocket, and drone attacks.
In response, the Chinese Embassy in Israel has reiterated its urgent call for all Chinese citizens in the country to prioritize their safety, avoid complacency, and immediately relocate from areas near critical infrastructure, military zones, airports, and remote residences.
The Embassy urges strict adherence to the safety directives of the Israeli Home Front Command. Chinese nationals must ensure their accommodation or worksite is equipped with blast shelters and must enter these facilities immediately upon hearing air raid sirens. If an employer provides housing or a workplace that lacks required protective features such as emergency shelters or underground bunkers, individuals have the right to refuse it and report the situation to the Israeli Immigration Authority.
Given that the conflict is expected to persist for an extended period, the Embassy has activated a registration mini-program for Chinese citizens seeking relocation or evacuation.
